Legal Practice

Managing Attorney, Bay Legal, PC

Legal Operations

Founder & Chief Architect, XPRTS

Professional Background

Silicon Valley to Law Firm Operations

Technology, international operations, and legal practice form the three parts of Jayson’s professional background. XPRTS draws on that experience to connect business processes with the people and tools that carry them out.

01 / Technology

Silicon Valley & Technology Background

Before law school, Jayson worked with eBay, Hewlett-Packard, and Lockheed Martin. His experience includes enterprise infrastructure, datacenter operations, and technology-enabled business processes. He later served as CTO for multiple startups, focusing on how technology supports business operations and growth.

His background also includes blockchain and cryptocurrency operations. He has operated Bitcoin mining infrastructure through Kryptk.com since 2016 and has advised on crypto legal and compliance matters.

02 / Operations

International Operations

Jayson has operated teams in the Philippines since 2018, building remote workforce models with defined training and technology-enabled workflows. His international experience spans North America, South America, and Asia.

This work informs XPRTS’s approach to remote legal staffing: clarify the role, establish the processes, train the people, and integrate them into the firm’s day-to-day operations.

03 / Legal Practice

Bay Legal, PC

As Managing Attorney of Bay Legal, PC, Jayson leads a California law practice focused on estate planning, probate, and real estate and construction disputes. He is responsible for firm leadership, legal strategy, and client representation.

Bay Legal also provides the working environment in which XPRTS develops and applies its legal operations systems, including intake, practice management, billing, and remote team workflows.

Technology Philosophy

The Principles Behind the Work

Jayson’s approach starts with the operating process, then considers how technology and people should support it.

Systems Before Tools

A software subscription is not the same as a working operating system. Configuration, integration, and clear processes determine how useful the tools become.

AI With Human Oversight

AI can support speed and consistency in appropriate workflows. People remain responsible for judgment, strategy, client relationships, and the review required by their roles.

Global Talent, Properly Integrated

Capable remote staff need training, defined responsibilities, and access to the right systems. The objective is a team that can work consistently within the firm’s processes.

“

A law firm is not a collection of lawyers. It is an operating system.
